Here I am, settled in the US in my hometown with the kids enrolled in school. I've been going through so much lately, it all seemed tedious to blog about. I haven't had internet access anyway except occasionally on my phone and outside the house in my car. I'm at the library now, but don't know when I'll be able to make time for it if I manage to find a job.
The Man has gone back to Africa and I'm staying in his place for three months until I find my own apartment. We've agreed to 50/50 custody where he will come over half the year and keep them and I keep them half the year. We will alternate. There were moments of hostility but I think we tried to keep it as civil as possible.
My baby, my love Kay and I are still together and plan to stay that way. We have things in effect that should put us together before this year is out. Until then, we are in more of a long distance relationship than before. There it was mere cities apart, now it's an ocean apart. Thankfully there's the internet and telephone to bridge that gap.
I'm just focused on getting a job right now and that is like a full time job in and of itself especially in an economy where people have been laid off and there are hiring freezes. Sigh. I will make it somehow.

ReplyDeleteSip, I can't say I know exactly what you are going through, but I have been on the job search and it can be tedious. Don't worry about those hiring freezes and stuff, they will eventually let up. Focus on finding something that you like to do and don't stress. That's the most important thing...enjoy your life.
