Suggestions For A New Fragrance.

I'm looking for a new scent to compliment my style evolution. The scents I'm looking at are not exactly feminine. I was looking on Sephora and came across the Versace fragrances. My girl has a female Versace perfume although I don't know which one which has me all over her and taking her shirts with me when we part. The ones that appealed to me via description were the ones for men. A scent I've worn regularly in the past was Givenchy's Irrestible, which is for women but I'm looking for something on the other side of the spectrum.

I want to be able to breeze by and make people ask themselves what I'm wearing and possibly fall in love. Lol. It can be either a male or female fragrance, or a natural spray, something earthy...anything I could go and sample unless it's just so awesome I should go ahead and order it online yesterday. I'm writing this off as an investment so my budget while not huge isn't tiny. Any suggestions?

I could always just go with my Zesty bodywash scent lol, which I love.

  1. SH wears Curve. I've always loved the way it smells. I also like Candies for men. And Jean Paul G (it comes in a bottle shaped like a man). It has this soft minty, clean scent. I love it. Maybe I should buy it for SH...

  2. My baby likes Baby Phat...there is a pink, yellow and black bottle. Maybe one of those?

  3. I actually started wearing an old fragrance again - ck One. I remember when everyone was wearing it in the 90's. Anyway, I happened upon it in Macy's the other day and couldn't help myself. It's always smelled great on me, and I've always liked unisex fragrances.

You should check out some other unisex fragrances, though I can't remember any others off the top of my mind, I know there are a bunch.

  5. I was in a shopping mall about a year ago and I saw a fragrance I'd liked when younger. Now I don't know whether it was a bad batch or if it was due to the way my skin has changed over the 15 or so years since I last wore it but shortly after applying it, I had to race to the nearest restroom and scrape as much of it off as I could.

The nearest scent to what had affixed itself to me is what I can only describe as a urine-sodden baby's nappy! It was utterly vile. Even the chap who was in the men's room with me admitted it 'smelled rank' as he stood there beside me using the automatic hand dryer!

  7. These are all wonderful suggestions!

Alix- What are you doing now for V Day? I know there's been a lot going on lately. Good gift idea!

Tami- I will be sure to check this one out, especially since you gave a description, that's helpful!

Simone- I remember CK One! I believe I even use to wear it at one point, was it in a white opaque glass bottle? I read somewhere they brought it back out again too. Definitely in the running. Thanks!

Jonathan- Uh oh, that sounds positively awful! I hope I don't experience anything like this when shopping around.

Tamara- I was thinking about Dolce & Gabanna too. I have a feeling Kay would like this one. Will have to check out Polo Black.

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions gentle ladies and queen! Will let you know what I decide on. :-)
