Living In Africa

It was nothing like I imagined it would be...it's better. This place has become ingrained in me and if I leave, I know I will be back someday for a long time. The first place I went to was a market, the second day I was here. It looked like this.





This was the first view I got upon walking inside the market. When I first took this picture, the walkway seemed so small. Now looking at it...it seems spacious. I guess my perception has changed.











I love way all these tempting vegetables looked.














I really like the picture of this school girl. She had just come through the market with two other friends after school and they split off in three different directions. I wondered if they were going to find their parents who were vendors or pick up some things for dinner that night.


The person to the right in red and white is my house helper, maid or whatever you want to call her. Here known as house girl, which is not quite as pc. She does the market shopping and pretty much everything else, but is not the subservient sort. More on my saga with her another day.
