Waxing Poetic

Kay, my sweetheart, makes me want to wax poetic daily but the outwardly mushy stuff embarrasses me. Here's a glimpse into what I feel for her anyway:

She does funny things to my heart. Everytime I hear her voice I melt inside. I can't wait to just hold her and look at her, marveling at how lucky I am to have found her. How lucky I am that life chose her for me. I really did find my freedom across the water. She's released that part of me waiting to love a woman...and thank God, she loves me back. I feel her sooo much. Right now I just want to curl up and dream of her, take her into my dreams and do wonderful things to her. Make love to everything that is her. Her essence, her heart...just everything and then her body. I want to feel her as close to me as possible, within me, running through me.

She regularly waxes poetic on me...and I absolutely love it. She's so open and Passionate! I will never be able to get over how openly and beautifully expressive she is. I mean beautifully. I can hear her emotions in her voice. If I heard anyone say those things, it wouldn't sound genuine, I simply wouldn't believe them. But she just lets go and flows with whatever is on her mind at that moment. And I find myself speechless and feeling her deeply. I think it's going to take time for me to really really let go and go with all that I feel. I'm not accustomed to making myself so vulnerable to anyone, never really thought about this. But I always thought I'd be dominant in a relationship, maybe because it meant I wouldn't have to be vulnerable to the other person. Now I'm feeling like I can content just being held and loved on.

  2. I am sure you have googled this, lol. Compliments of the Urban Dictionary:

    1. wax-poetic
To "wax poetic" means to become increasingly verbose and romantic in speech. To become more and more like a poem.

"Not to wax-poetic, but your eyes glimmer like the ocean on a summer evening..."

Welcome Alix!!!! You've inspired me to get my own blog going.

  4. I'm flattered, lol. Don't you love that about life, learning something new everyday? It was in the urban dictionary, so I guess it's not relevant enough to make Websters. Can't even remember where I picked the term up from...
